Leaving Albuquerque... And 1.5 days in Waco

O.K.  So it's Saturday night...

Thursday before our show we were in Albuquerque and sharing some time with our friend and yours, Frank Green...

We were at The Frontier Restaurant.  There is a definite Western, John Wayne theme to the place...

After dinner with Frank, we went and got ready for the show at The Popejoy Performing Arts Center.

After the show, we said good bye to friends and friends of friends that came to see the show - which went really well that night.

And then got on the bus to get ready for a 14 hour over night drive to Waco, Texas.  First we fortified ourselves with Mama O's peanut butter fudge... And then eventually tucked in.

We arrived in Waco around 10:30AM.  Preston made incredible time.  We checked into our hotel and then Rick, Robin and I went for a walk downtown to find lunch and then walk off lunch.  Along the way, we found the court house...

Later that night we went out to eat with Maxey Whitehead.  Along the way we encountered Grackles resting within a migration.  They were like crows with attitude...

We had Texas BBQ and then frozen custard elsewhere for desert.  Amazing...

Today's story will come tomorrow...  As my bed calls and calls and calls...

Peace out!

O.
